Our analysis showed that the news and social media mentions for SBI chief Rajnish Kumar and ICICI Bank’s Chanda Kochhar were more or less in line with their respective bank’s media share of voice.

On the contrary, news and social media mentions for Kotak Mahindra Bank MD Uday Kotak and HDFC Bank MD Aditya Puri were disproportionate to their respective bank’s media share of voice.

In case of Kotak Mahindra Bank, the media share of voice was lowest among the leading banks. However, the news and tweet mentions for Uday Kotak were the second highest amongst his peers. This suggests that Uday Kotak has been very active in media interactions.

On the other hand, the media share of voice for HDFC Bank was the second highest among the leading banks. Despite this, the news and tweet mentions for Aditya Puri were lowest amongst his peers.

To compare news mentions for the company’s top management with their peers, we have come with KMP (Key Management Personnel) News Coverage Ratio. This ratio compares news mentions for top management with company’s total news volume.
