M&A, partnerships, product launch, contracts, and expansion were top 5 categories leading growth news flow for Singapore listed companies in April 2018. At the company level, Singapore Airlines Ltd, IHH Healthcare Bhd, and Comfortdelgro Corp Ltd led the growth news flow during April 2018.

Heckyl news study shows pickup in growth-oriented activities for companies listed in Singapore
News flow highlighting growth-oriented business activities of the listed companies in Singapore touched the highest level in the last 3-years during the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2017. The pickup in news flow featuring growth-oriented activities indicates improvement in the business confidence.
Heckyl studied the past 3-years’ news data for 540 listed companies in Singapore. During September 2017 quarter, news items featuring growth-oriented business activities moved up 15.65% sequentially and 17.10% on year-on-year basis (Image 1).
Surge in growth-oriented news flow in H1’17 signals improvement in India Inc business confidence: Heckyl
News flow related to growth-oriented business activities touched the highest level in 2-1/2 years indicating improvement in the business confidence of Indian companies, according to a study conducted by Heckyl, a leading Fintech engaged in news and financial data analytics.
Heckyl has analyzed news data for all the listed companies in India for the past 2-1/2 years covering over 51,000 growth-oriented news items for 1,915 companies.
The first half of 2017 witnessed a year-on-year rise of 15.10% and 11.20% over second half of 2016 in news items featuring growth-oriented business activities. At the same time, the number of companies mentioned in the growth-oriented news items has also grown 24.3% on a y-o-y basis and 23.7% over preceding six months.
